  • If I'm honest, I think every person could benefit from being in therapy! But the fact that you are asking yourself that question, I think is enough to know it may be for you. Counseling is not always for someone struggling to make it through the day, it is also a space to grow introspection and be your best self.

  • Yes, I do. I currently accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Oscar, Optum, and United Healthcare. Rates for sessions are dependent on your plan. I currently use Headway for billing, here you can automatically see your rates after an account is made.

Please note that while using insurance can make therapy more affordable, many insurance companies manage the amount of sessions you qualify for, require proof of medical necessity, and require a diagnosis for sessions to be covered.

  • Of course. My session fee is $130.

When not using insurance, You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

    • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

  • Currently, I am fully virtual. All sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-Compliant platform. Teletherapy can be convenient, effective, and flexible. It works best for folks with mild to moderate symptoms who are not actively in crisis or suicidal and are comfortable using technology. Most of my clients enjoy sessions with a drink, a cozy spot in their home, and the occasional visits from their adorable pets.

  • Our first session is an intake. In an intake we will review the paperwork you filled out, talk about your history, and figure out some goals to work on together.

  • Nope, that's what I'm here for! Together, we can work on identifying emotions and what they are trying to communicate.
